Beta Feedback & Known Issues (CaseClock)

This guide provides CaseClock users with essential information on how to report bugs, share feedback, and view known issues during the beta phase. It outlines steps for effective communication and includes workarounds for common problems, enabling users to enhance their experience with the app.

MobileUserWorkflow Overview

Thank you for testing CaseClock. During beta, feedback is the product.

This page is the fastest way to:

  • report a bug or confusing workflow
  • share feature requests
  • see known issues and workarounds

If you’re just getting started, go here first:

How to send feedback (fastest)

Option 1: In-app feedback (preferred)

Use the in-app feedback option whenever possible.

Option 2: Web-form submission

Use our web-based feedback form: https://feedback.caseclock.ai/

Option 3: Email

Send feedback to: support@caseclock.ai

Subject line suggestion:

“CaseClock beta feedback — [bug / friction / feature]”

The “perfect bug report” (copy/paste)

Please include:

  • Device + OS: (e.g., iPhone 15 iOS 17.3 / Pixel 8 Android 14)
  • What I was trying to do:
  • Steps to reproduce: (1…2…3…)
  • What I expected:
  • What happened instead:
  • Matter/client name: (if relevant)
  • Screenshot / screen recording: (if possible)

Even a short note helps:

  • “I got stuck at ______”
  • “I expected ______ but it did ______”
  • “This would be 10x better if ______”

What we’re especially looking for in beta

1) Onboarding friction

  • What slowed you down during install/sign-in?
  • Did anything feel unclear or overly complicated?

2) Time capture flow

  • Was it easy to record?
  • Did the draft output look reasonable?
  • Was review/editing fast enough?

3) Matter/client selection

  • Could you find the right file quickly?
  • Did you ever feel forced into too many taps/search steps?

4) Sync/export reliability

  • If you use Clio: did entries appear as expected (after sync)?
  • If you use CSV: did export/import work with your system?

Known issues (beta)

We’ll keep this section updated as we discover issues and ship fixes.

A) Clio sync is not instant

  • Sync typically runs about every ~5 minutes.
  • If something doesn’t appear immediately, wait a few minutes and check again.

Workaround:

  • Capture the entry now; update matter/client details once the item appears.

Clio details: https://caseclock.ai/support/clio-sync-expectations

B) Missing matters/clients (occasionally)

Sometimes a matter/client may not appear right away after connecting Clio.

Workaround:

  1. Wait ~5–10 minutes
  2. Confirm connection in Settings → Integrations → Clio
  3. Reconnect Clio if needed
  4. Email support with the matter/client name + screenshot

C) Closed/older matters

Depending on current sync scope and how your Clio is configured, some closed/older matters may not show immediately.

Workaround:

  • Capture the time entry and adjust the matter assignment later.
  • If you need the matter urgently, email support with the matter name.

D) Draft output style varies

Draft formatting may vary depending on how you describe tasks.

Workaround:

  • Keep dictation short: action + topic + matter/client label
  • If you want a specific format, send us one example of your preferred style (redacted if needed)

Sample examples: https://caseclock.ai/informational/sample-day-with-caseclock

E) CSV import differences across tools

Different billing/PMS tools accept different CSV formats.

Workaround:

  • Export from CaseClock and tell us the tool you import into.
  • We’ll help map columns and provide a template.

Feature requests (what to send us)

If you’re requesting a feature, please include:

  • what you were trying to accomplish
  • how you do it today (your current workflow)
  • what “success” looks like
  • how often you’d use it (daily / weekly / monthly)

Beta roadmap (public, high level)

Now (beta priorities)

  • Reduce onboarding friction
  • Improve matter/client selection speed and clarity
  • Improve reliability messaging and error handling (especially around sync timing)
  • Polish review/editing flow

Next

  • Better support for edge cases (e.g., older/closed matters where possible)
  • More customization of entry formatting
  • Stronger non-Clio templates and mappings

Later

  • Expanded integrations and workflows
  • Reporting / dashboards (firm-level visibility)

One last ask

If you can, please answer these two questions after you’ve tried CaseClock twice:

  1. Did it save you time vs your normal process?
  2. What would make you use it every day?
