Our story

Why we built this

Legal billing is too important to feel this painful.

Most legal software treats billing like a form to fill out after the fact. But billing is not just back-office admin. It affects revenue, record quality, client trust, internal operations, and how confidently a firm can stand behind the work it did.

We built CaseClock because too much of that process still depends on end-of-day cleanup, memory, copy-paste habits, and interfaces that lawyers do not want to use.

The result is predictable:

  • small tasks go uncaptured,
  • records get written late,
  • descriptions stay vague,
  • lawyers lose time to admin they already resent.

Our view is simple: if billing can be captured naturally, reviewed quickly, and synced cleanly, firms recover time, reduce friction, and create stronger records — without changing how lawyers actually work.

Our beliefs

What we believe

Lawyer-controlled by default

CaseClock drafts and suggests. The lawyer reviews, approves, and decides. Every entry goes through human judgment before it is finalized.

Trust before automation theatre

We are not trying to automate away judgment. We are trying to remove friction from a workflow that still needs defensibility, review, and context.

Built around real adoption

CaseClock is designed to fit into existing firm workflows and systems, not force a rip-and-replace change.

Focused where the pain is measurable

We start with legal billing because it is frequent, valuable, operationally painful, and easy to understand when it is working well.

The product

What CaseClock is

CaseClock is a voice-first, AI-assisted legal billing platform. Lawyers speak or type naturally. CaseClock turns that into structured, bill-ready drafts that can be reviewed, approved, and synced into the firm’s existing system of record.

That means:

  • less end-of-day cleanup,
  • less admin drag,
  • faster time capture,
  • cleaner records,
  • better billing hygiene across the firm.

We call it voice-first, not voice-only. Voice is often the fastest way to capture work when a lawyer is moving between meetings, calls, court, and client matters. The goal is not novelty — the goal is making billing easier to complete accurately and consistently.

Step 1

Capture

Lawyers speak or type naturally — in the moment, between matters, or at end of day.

Step 2

Review

CaseClock turns natural input into structured, bill-ready drafts for the lawyer to review.

Step 3

Sync

Approved entries sync directly into the firm's existing system of record in seconds.

Our focus

Why we’re focused on billing first

We’re starting where the value is immediate.

Billing is one of the clearest operational pain points in legal practice. It happens constantly. It affects revenue directly. It is easy to postpone. And when it slips, the downstream cost adds up quickly.

That is why CaseClock starts with time capture and billing workflows. By solving a daily, measurable problem first, we can create immediate value for firms, build trusted product habits, and earn the right to expand over time.

We are not trying to be “AI for everything.”

We are building a practical, trusted system for one of the most important workflows in legal operations.

Our approach

How we think about AI

AI should reduce admin, not reduce accountability.

CaseClock uses AI to help lawyers move faster through billing workflows — but not to remove review or substitute for judgment.

Automation is useful when it creates better drafts, faster review, and cleaner outcomes.

That is why CaseClock is designed around:

  • structured drafts instead of vague chat output,
  • human review instead of blind finalization,
  • real workflow outcomes instead of generic AI novelty.

For legal billing, trust matters. Review matters. Clear records matter. So we build accordingly.
