What to export

List of Projects and List of Clients from Report Builder

Estimated time

~5 minutes

Difficulty

Easy

Part 1

Export your projects (matters)

  1. 1

    Log in to Filevine.

  2. 2

Open the main menu and go to Report Builder.

  3. 3

Under Create New Report, choose List of Projects.

  4. 4

In Set Up Columns, move the columns you need into the report. Include Client Name, projectID, and the project name or title field.

  5. 5

If you need custom project fields, select the Org and Project Type first — this makes project-specific columns available.

  6. 6

In Choose Criteria, leave the default active-project scope if you only want active projects. Add filters if needed.

  7. 7

    Run the report.

  8. 8

To export visible results, right-click a cell in the results and choose Export Loaded Data.

  9. 9

    Choose CSV or Excel.

Part 2

Export your clients

  1. 1

    Return to Report Builder.

  2. 2

Create a List of Clients report.

  3. 3

Include personID and the client name fields.

  4. 4

Run and export the report as CSV.

Large export tip

Export Loaded Data may only export the currently loaded page of results, not all records. For larger exports, save the report, go to the Save/Export page, choose CSV Report, and download from Saved Reports when it is ready.
