Difficulty
ModerateStep by step
Open Unity.
Click Reports in the main navigation.
Select File Room Listing report.
Set the Transactions From date range to include the files you want.
Choose Report by: Firm, Responsible Lawyer, or Originating Lawyer.
Use the Client / Matter range selection if you want only part of your file list.
Filter by Type of Law if needed.
Filter by Major Client if needed.
Choose Alpha or Numeric sorting.
Under Output Options, select Export to CSV.
Choose the Report Type: Standard or Identification & Verification.
Choose whether to include Open clients, Closed clients, or All clients. For a CaseClock import, choose Open clients unless you specifically want closed matters.
Optionally include Full matter description, Full name and address, or GST/HST exempt flag as needed.
Run the report and save the CSV file.
CSV formatting tip
Open the exported CSV in Excel or Google Sheets before uploading. If the file contains repeated header rows or offset values, clean it into a true flat table first. The CaseClock import handles standard single-header CSVs.
